Serving Opportunities

Here are a few of the serving opportunities available at Christ's Church. The office is available to answer questions and help you find a place to serve.

Building Maintenance & Handy Man

As our building grows older there are times that upkeep & repairs need to be made. If you have skills that pertain to building maintenance and would be willing to do things around the building from time to time we would love to keep your name handy.

In addition, we sometimes have congregation members contact the office looking for help with handy man tasks they are not able to do or looking to hire out help for tasks they can not do on their own.

If you would be willing to help in any of these situations please contact the office at 419-354-1176 or drop us an email at office@ccbg.life.

Community Thanksgiving Feast

On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving each year we put on a community-wide Thanksgiving Feast. It is open to anyone in the community who would like to attend and is free of charge. The meal typically takes place at the Bowling Green Community Center on Newton Road.

We ask the congregation to donate items such as cooked/deboned turkeys, pies & desserts, baked dinner rolls, and of course their time where possible. The church is responsible for set up, serving, and tear down.

To sign up to volunteer your time or make a food donation or get more information check out our events page or contact the office at 410-354-1176 or office@ccbg.life.

Greeting Ministry

Our greeting ministry consists of door greeters who welcome people when they come in the door, handing out bulletins & communion as well as those who mingle in the foyer as visitors come in.

We love having people volunteer to be the welcoming face seen by others when they come in the door for services.

This ministry does not require any preparation ahead of time, only a willingness to welcome others with a smile and to take a moment to share a kind word. This is such a great way to get to know the people who make up your church family!

If you are interested in serving in this ministry,

contact Scott Dobransky at 419-806-9904.

During Worship we have several volunteers helping to make our services pleasing to the Lord.

To help with music, sound, camera, lights, or the slide show contact Tyler McKinney

CCBG kids need YOU!

Our children's ministry is looking for volunteers who would be willing to teach or assist in class time.

10am Nursery: We need volunteers who would like to spend time with our babies and toddlers during service. Our nursery is for children from infant to age 2.

We have the sermon on the TV so you don't miss out!

10:00 am Bible Hero's: Preschool through 1st grade gather in the yellow trim room for a lesson & craft. The church provides all materials.

10:00 am Discipletown: 2nd through 5th grades meet in the Red trim room.

We are also in need of teachers for Wednesday night study from 6:30-8pm. This is all ages in one class but usually a smaller group than Sunday mornings.

TEACHER: You would have a lesson plan from Ruth that would have a lesson, a story, 3-5 craft and game options to choose from and a snack idea. We provide the craft materials and snack. You would be expected to review your lesson and plan your class in advance. Please show up for class a few minutes early to prepare your materials.

Helper: Our helpers have no prep work. We ask the you show up a few minutes early to help the teacher prepare the craft.

Contact the office or Ruth Smith for more information.

Mission week is the biggest serving week of the year!

Mission Week 2022: July 11-17

We have Community days from 8:30 am-4:00 pm where we meet at the church for breakfast and prayer and head out to do service projects all throughout the community. We meet back at the building for lunch and study at noon and head back out to finish projects until 4:00 pm in the community.

During the evening we have about 20 volunteers to put on Vacation Bible School for the children of the community. At the end of the week we put on a huge community carnival that requires MANY hands to help!

On Sunday we wrap up with SUPER SUNDAY here at the church we have 1 worship service and a picnic style lunch and games on the lawn after services.
