Serving

There are many opportunities to serve and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

During Worship we have several volunteers helping to make our services pleasing to the Lord.

We need you for CCBG kids

Our children's ministry came to a major halt during the pandemic and we are now starting from a blank slate to re-build this ministry. This means we need ALOT of volunteers. Below find a list of opportunities to serve the Lord!

9am or 11am Nursery: We need volunteers to come sit with our babies during services. You would be expected to volunteer about once a month in 1 service (either 9 or 11 am) We need 8 volunteers for each service time so that we can keep a rotating schedule with two people in the nursery at all times. The nursery holds children from infant to age 2. We have separate sides of the room to keep children entertained and safe in an age appropriate manor. We also have the sermon on the TV so you don't miss out!

9:00 am Kingdom Kids: Jr Church for preschool through 5th grade in the red trim room. We need 6 Teachers and 6 Helpers that will serve 1 Sunday every 6 weeks.

11:00 am Bible Hero's: Preschool through 1st grade gather in the yellow trim room for a lesson, craft and snack. The church provides all materials and snack, we need 6 teachers and 6 helpers that will serve 1 Sunday every 6 weeks.

11:00 am Discipletown: 2nd through 5th grades meet in the Red trim room. We need 6 teachers and 6 helpers that will serve 1 Sunday every 6 weeks.

Fall-Spring Sunday School: 10:10 - 10:50am we offer a Sunday School for 3-5 year old's, and we offer a class from 1st-5th grades. We need a teacher and 1-2 helpers for the 3-5 year old class. The Sunday school teacher is the teacher from fall through spring. If you need to take a weekend off we can help find a replacement.

We are also in need of teachers for Wednesday night study from 6:30-8pm. This is all ages in one class but usually a smaller group than Sunday mornings.

Definitions:

TEACHER: You would have a lesson plan from Ruth that would have a lesson, a story, 3-5 craft and game options to choose from and a snack idea. We provide the craft materials and snack. You would be expected to review your lesson and plan your class in advance. Please show up for class a few minutes early to prepare your materials.

Helper: Our helpers have no prep work. We ask the you show up a few minutes early to help the teacher prepare the craft.

Jr Church: Class offered during the sermon portion of Church.

Sunday School: Class offered from September to may between services.

Contact  Ruth or the office with any questions or to volunteer.

Mission week is the biggest serving week of the year! 2021: July 26-30

We have Community days from 8:30 am-4:00 pm where we meet at the church for breakfast and prayer and head out to do service projects all throughout the community. We meet back at the building for lunch and study at noon and head back out to finish projects until 4:00 pm in the community.

During the evening we have about 20 volunteers to put on Vacation Bible School for the children of the community. At the end of the week we put on a huge community carnival that requires MANY hands to help!

On Sunday we wrap up with SUPER SUNDAY here at the church we have 1 worship service and a picnic style lunch and games on the lawn after services.
